Partnerships Enable Farming to Go High-tech

When you think of an industry ripe with innovation, agriculture might not be the first thing on your mind. Yet, these organizations are bringing high-tech capabilities to the oldest industry in existence. AWS announced a strategic IoT partnership with Yara, a farming solutions provider. AWS’s machine learning capabilities will enable optimal crop production, through the prediction of product quality and enhanced monitoring of site utilities and equipment.
 
Sure cows are filling the atmosphere with methane, but farmers can reduce emissions from equipment with these electric self-driving tractors from California startup, Monarch Tractor. With John Deere’s recent backlash from farmers across the country in recent years regarding the legal ownership of their products, we can’t help but wonder who will actually own the Monarch tractor.
