The online marketplace industry is cutthroat, and Microsoft is slashing more than just the competition. As part of Microsoft’s virtual partner conference, Inspire, the company announced they’d be dropping their commercial marketplace fees down from 20% to a mere 3%.

Microsoft is one of the most partner-friendly marketplaces today, putting some serious pressure on AWS, Google Cloud, and Salesforce. How will the other online marketplaces respond? Hopefully with their own sentient office supplies.
