Interdimensional Brand Partnerships Take on New Forms

If you watched the last season of Rick & Morty live, you may remember the iconic Wendy’s ad that accompanied every episode. The pair worked so well together, they decided to expand their partnership in line with the latest season, adding new drink options and a pop-up restaurant.

Wendy’s isn’t the first brand to explore a partnership with Adult Swim’s favorite cynical mad scientist and his dorky grandson. Their partnership with McDonald’s back in 2017 was a PR nightmare when the chain brought Szechuan Sauce back, but only at limited locations in minimal quantities.

Last year, the show teamed up with Pringle’s to launch limited-edition flavors, including one inspired by Pickle Rick himself. Perhaps most iconic was their partnership with Wrangler, who boasts jeans that are indestructible against the NX-5 Planet Remover.

Who do you think Rick & Morty will partner with next? Perhaps with Beyond Meat’s new chicken tenders? Drop your thoughts in the #general Slack channel for your opportunity to be featured in next week’s newsletter.
