Juul, once a staple at every college across the country, is now officially banned for retail by the FDA in the US. The news comes after years of debate surrounding whether e-cigarette products with flavorful options like cotton candy and watermelon are being wrongfully marketed toward underage consumers.
In 2020, the FDA ordered its first blow to the company when it forced Juul to cease production of all non-tobacco and menthol-flavored nicotine pods.
