All Our Favorite Sites Stopped Working Yesterday

After a glitch occurred in Akamai Technologies Inc’s systems, there were widespread outages yesterday, impacting many of our favorite sites. Downdetector users reported at least 48 sites experiencing outages, including Instacart, Youtube, Discord, and Instagram.

When The Verge was impacted by the last widespread outage, they began sharing news in the form of Google Docs. Unfortunately, someone forgot to restrict editing permissions. Thankfully, it seems they were spared this time around.
